Special exhibit | The Wall of Respect

January 5 - January 21

Explore the Wall of Respect, a temporary exhibit hosted in partnership with the Jewish Community Center of Greater Kansas City! The Wall of Respect is a unique installation informed by stories from our community and created by selected artists overseeing the work of youth and adults from all over the Kansas City metro area. The piece, a 12-foot yurt acknowledges the commonalities between and celebrates the unique cultural contributions to Kansas City made by the Native American, Jewish, African American, Latino/Hispanic and Asian communities living among us.

Guests visiting this installation can share stories about their own cultures, discover the beauty of other cultures, challenge themselves with hands-on activities, and explore items and add them to the yurt.

Free and open to the public during normal business hours from January 5-21, 2019. Learn more about this exhibit here.
