In the Tennessean, Dole Institute Director Bill Lacy shares a remembrance of former Senator and presidential candidate Fred Thompson. Lacy served as Thompson’s campaign manager for a ’94 Senatorial bid and his ’08 Presidential campaign.

Grants reflect KU work in ADA research

The Dole Institute announced research awards made possible through a gift from General Electric Company (GE). The awards were given as part of the Dole Institute of Politics’ 2015 “commemorateADA” initiative, which includes research support, exhibits and public programs in recognition of the 25th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act.

Dole Institute honors 70th anniversary of V-J Day

August 18 – In honor of the 70th anniversary of Victory over Japan Day (V-J Day), the Robert J. Dole Archive & Special Collections has released more than 42 letters documenting the experience of Kenneth “Kenny” Dole, younger brother of former U.S. Sen. Bob Dole, who served in the war’s Pacific Theater.
