DESCRIPTION:The Robert J. Dole Institute of Politics is proud to be a Gold sponsor of the KU Vets Day 5k race\, hosted by the KU Student Veterans of America and the Veterans Alumni Network. \nThe annual KU Vets Day 5K\, hosted by the KU Student Veterans of America and the Veterans Alumni Network\, honors our past/present veterans and raises awareness of the roles veterans play in our university and community. The 5K begins and ends at Memorial Stadium\, traveling through the KU campus past KU’s war memorials. All  proceeds from the Vets Day 5K support KU Student Veterans of America chapter\, the KU Veterans Alumni Network and the Lt. Gen. William K. DESCRIPTION:Join KU Center for Community Outreach in our annual Trunk or Treat! Located in the parking lot of the Dole Institute of Politics (2350 Petefish Dr.\, Lawrence KS\, 66045) from 5-7pm on Monday\, October 30th\, we are open to families and kids of all ages! We will have games\, activities\, and candy! Come in your best costume for a scary good time! \nThe trunk or treat event occurs in the parking lot\, but outdoors activities will be hosted on the lawn\, and indoor activities available in the museum. Also\, a special appearance by Dottie\, the LPL outreach bookmobile!
