As Operations and Strategic Initiatives Manager at the Dole Institute, Mindi Love Pendergraft oversees financial and human resources, strategic initiatives, and facility management. She ensures that the Institute’s programs, people, and physical spaces are supported with strong organizational infrastructure.

Mindi brings more than 30 years of leadership experience in museums and nonprofit management. She has served in executive director roles at the Amelia Earhart Hangar Museum in Atchison, Kansas, and the Johnson County Museum in the Kansas City metro area. Her background spans the full spectrum of museum work, including administration, curatorial oversight, exhibitions, and educational programming.

Mindi is a native Kansan and is a graduate of the University of Kansas, holding bachelor’s degrees in U.S. History and Cultural Anthropology. She is also a 2000 graduate of the Seminar for Historical Administration (now the History Leadership Institute). She has served on numerous nonprofit boards, including the American Association for State and Local History, the Heritage League of Greater Kansas City, and the Arts Council of Johnson County. She remains professionally active in the Kansas Museums Association and the American Association for State and Local History.
