KU Students

KU students are the lifeblood of the Dole Institute and its mission. As a KU student, the Dole Institute is here to give you the experiences you need as you become our country’s next generation of public servants and leaders.

From the Institute’s Student Advisory Board to KU Civic Engagement Week, from volunteerism to historical research, from internships to networking with experts at the Institute– there are options to fit every major and every schedule.

Get involved at the Dole Institute – it will be one of the most impactful decisions you will make at KU.

To start, I’d suggest you:

  1. Join our student mailing list for current and upcoming opportunities. All KU students are welcome to join the Student Advisory Board
  2. Follow the SAB on Instagram.
  3. Email dolesab@ku.edu to learn more and join the SAB GroupMe.

See what public programs are coming up by looking at our website’s event calendar and sign up here if you’d like to volunteer.

Student Advisory Board

The Dole Institute Student Advisory Board is a group of KU students united by common interests in community service, government, and politics. Together, we broaden our understanding of the U.S. and the world at large through discussions and events on all topics that intersect politics. All KU students are welcome to join. There is no application process or cost to join. If you believe in the importance of community involvement, want to cultivate your leadership skills, and meet like-minded friends, we’re the group for you! Visit the SAB page to learn more!

At these informal events, students get an in-depth look at relevant issues, and they are encouraged to ask questions and interact with the guests. Come late or leave early, just don’t miss out!
