The institute is pleased to welcome U.S. Rep. Sharice Davids for the 2019 Elizabeth Dole Women in Leadership Lecture. Rep. Davids serves Kansas’ third legislative district and was sworn into the 116th Congress in January 2019. A graduate of Johnson County Community College, the University of Missouri at Kansas City and Cornell Law School, she serves on the Transportation and Infrastructure and Small Business Committees. She is one of the first two Native American women to serve in Congress, joining Rep. Deb Haaland of New Mexico. Rep. Davids’ career has focused on economic and community development and included time as a White House Fellow.
