The Dole Institute of Politics is committed to promoting political and civic participation as well as civil discourse in a bipartisan, balanced manner. A gift to the institute can help maintain free public programming, increase civic engagement, provide student opportunities, preserve history and celebrate the legacies of both Bob and Elizabeth Dole and their relevance to our nation’s history.
You can be a Supporter of the Dole Institute by making an unrestricted gift. This allows your investment to be used at the director’s discretion where the funds are needed most to support institute programming, initiatives and exhibits. Gifts can be made through an easy and secure online donation.
You can also become a Friend of the Dole Institute, which specifically supports activities of the Student Advisory Board, Internship Assistance Program, Archive Travel Grants and the Mentoring Program. Simply select your preferred membership below by clicking the level or amount. You will be transferred to a secure giving site at KU Endowment, which administers Dole Institute funding.
Supporters and Friends of the Dole Institute receive exclusive privileges to meet with our guests, attend our annual Friends/supporter dinner, pre-event receptions and advance notice of upcoming programs.
Thank Bill Lacy for his leadership as director of the Dole Institute from 2004-2021. We are asking Student Advisory Board members and alumni, donors and supporters to submit a remembrance, memory or story about Bill. Submissions can be a story or moment you shared with Bill, something memorable with a guest, an interview Bill conducted or a favorite program.
